A beloved martial arts star has sadly made his exit.

Actor Jim Kelly died of cancer in San Diego on June 29 at age 67, according to Entertainment Weekly. His death was confirmed by his ex-wife, Marilyn Dishman.

Jim is best known for his role as Williams in the 1973 Bruce Lee film, Enter the Dragon.

“It was one of the best experiences in my life,” Jim told Salon in 2010 about the role.

Jim appeared in a variety of martial arts blaxploitation films throughout the '70s, including ones with such amusing names as Black Belt Jones, Hot Potato, and Black Samurai. Ah, the '70s.

In 2004, he appeared with NBA star LeBron James in a martial arts-themed Nike ad. Jim also was recently a pro tennis player on the USTA Senior Men's Circuit.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
