It seems like it would be a blast to work on a show like The CW’s 90210. Not for Jamie Squillare. She filed a lawsuit last week alleging sexual harassment, failure to prevent discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation and failure to pay wages — all stemming, she says, from her boss pressuring her into a sexual relationship.

According to TheWrap, Jamie claims the show’s art department leadman, Michael Sunga, promised to hire her if she had sex with him. He also reportedly wanted her first month in wages. Jamie says she went along with the wages and cut two checks to Michael. However, he reportedly "threatened to terminate her employment unless she agreed to be his girlfriend."

She says she initially resisted, but after his “constant threats” she eventually gave in. But he supposedly tried to flaunt their relationship in front of his supervisor at work, and she blocked his advances. You can read more of the wackier details at TheWrap, but she claims many employees were aware of Michael’s "inappropriate conduct" but no one did anything to stop it. She says he fired her on Jan. 1, 2013, about six months after she started working on the show.

In addition to Michael Sunga, Jamie's lawsuit names CBS Television Studios, EPSG Management Services, Eye Productions and 90210 Productions. She’s seeking unspecified damages.

Is it that rough out in the working world that people feel compelled to trade sex (and their first paychecks) for a job? What kind of a shady person would even suggest a deal like that? Sad.
