According to the L.A. Times, Jarret suffered a seizure in his home in Hermosa Beach, CA on July 3 and had to be rushed to the hospital. L.A. Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi told the Times, “Everything is OK. They’ve run some tests and they still had another one to run. The bottom line is that he’s fine. Now the issue is what caused it.”
Jarret has suffered concussions in the past, including earlier this year during Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinal playoff series. In late May, Jarret gave the Times a health update: “It’s fine. Obviously, I’m skating so there’s no setbacks. I’m taking it slow. I’ve done this before, earlier on in my career, so I know how it feels and what’s right and what’s not, if I’m off or back to normal or not. So just day by day.”
But now he’s had a seizure, which is possibly related to the most recent concussion. Whatever the cause, we wish him a speedy recovery!
