An interesting 2013 video trend has emerged.
The unrated version of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video was taken down from YouTube a couple of months ago, since it was filled with topless women wandering around (the fully clothed) Robin and Pharrell.
Now Justin Timberlake has released a new video, "Tunnel Vision," which — as On the Air With Ryan Seacrest put it — is "basically seven minutes of topless women." It shows (the fully clothed) Justin singing amid shots of nearly nude women making erotic Bond girl-esque poses.
Do you think it's artistic or ... something else? Objectifying women is nothing new, but it feels like a step back for two major pop stars to release similar videos featuring topless women looking like sexual ornaments. At the very least, as one fan tweeted to Robin after his video, "couldn't we have seen the boys in similar outfits?"
