It's time for a twenty-one paintball-gun salute to pay tribute to a departing Community cast member.
Donald Glover will no longer be a full-time cast member on the quirky NBC sitcom, according to Vulture.
Donald, who plays Troy, will only appear in five episodes of the show's upcoming fifth season.
This reportedly will give Donald more time to focus on his music career, while the show's producers will save money by not having to pay him quite as much.
Donald has a budding rap career under the name Childish Gambino. He can also be seen this month in the film The To-Do List.
This follows the much-happier news that creator Dan Harmon, who was not with the show for its uneven fourth season, would be returning to the show this season.
Donald is not the first cast member to scale back his presence on the show. Chevy Chase, who played Pierce, made his final appearance last season.
Don't worry, Abed — we're here for you if you need a hug.
Effectively losing a big star isn't great news for a show constantly facing an uncertain future, season after season. They already lost their showrunner for a full season, before he came back swinging for Season 5.
Beyond how depressed Abed's going to be to lose his full-time BFF, is this the end for Community? Sound off below!
