Candice — the sole African-American female houseguest on Big Brother 15 — has been the target of racist comments by another houseguest, Aaryn, all throughout this season of gameplay.
Her mother, Hazel, is finally speaking out about the racism and bigotry she's seen on this season of Big Brother.
"She's a devil," Hazel told TMZ. "She's mean and a racist." Hazel says her church is also fed up with the problems on this season of the reality competition show, and are calling for a boycott.
Aaryn has been on a pretty image-killing racist rant the past few weeks, and the scenes are finally starting to air on TV. In Thursday's elimination episode, Amanda is seen having a conversation with Aaryn about her controversial remarks, telling her to cool it. But Aaryn said she isn't having it, saying she's bullied for being called a "Barbie" and that she "wishes she cared more" about what other people think of her.
Well, we hope she cares more when she gets out and learns she lost her job.
Hazel says her family church is fed up with the hate speech on this season, saying, "They will no longer watch Big Brother anymore because of the racism. The community thinks Candice is being bullied." This could be a problem for the CBS show, if other people begin boycotting the show.
"If I would have known this is the way the show would turn out," Hazel said, "I would have convinced Candice not to go."
