Kim Fields is about to become a mom for the second time!
The actress, known for her roles on The Facts of Life and Living Single, announced the news on Twitter on Thursday morning.
44-year-old Kim, who has been married to Broadway actor Christopher Morgan, 37, since 2007, announced, "Biggest blessing from 'The Lab,' Christopher & I are blessed to be pregnant with a 2nd child, Quincy Xavier, due early December. Praise God!"
According to People, Kim, who is already a mom to 6-year-old Sebastian Alexander, will discuss her second pregnancy on an upcoming episode of The Real, scheduled to air next week.
She says of the pregnancy, "Sebastian and Christopher are very excited… It was planned. We've actually been trying for a couple years. We had gotten pregnant twice before and [miscarried]. Chris and I were very blessed to really have one another, to have our family and friends and our God to really get us through that."
While Kim had always wanted a second child, when she found out she was pregnant at 44, it was still quite a shock.
"For a minute I thought I was getting pre-menopausal ‘cuz certain things were starting to be irregular and then other symptoms started — my memory and I was clumsier than normal which I couldn’t even believe was possible. Then our son got sick with a stomach virus and I caught it. Chris said, 'No, babe, you’re a little sicker than Sebastian. You need to go and get that checked out' and I said, 'Okay.' They tested me and said, 'Oh honey, you’re not dehydrated. You’re two months pregnant.'"
Congrats to the family!
