Original story, from August 1:
This is heartbreaking!
Actor and new dad Jeremy Renner is searching for his 1.5-year-old French Bulldog. Hemi — who needs daily medication — got out of Jeremy’s Los Angeles home on July 19 after a power failure opened the front gate. There's now a Facebook page with information, posters, and a reminder that there's a $5,000 reward for Hemi's return, with no questions asked.
Here's a post from the Facebook page:

Here are specific details on how you can help, even if you don’t live in Southern California:
Poor Jeremy has bad luck with dogs; his 8-month-old French Bulldog Franklin died of a heart attack from overheating in March 2012. We hope Hemi’s story has a happier ending.
UPDATE: Hemi is back home! The Facebook page was updated with good news on August 22: "The story is totally convoluted so we don't (and will never) know what actually happened, but he was with a family in Visalia, CA (200 miles away) ... The reunion last night was emotional for all, especially his brother dog Digby. The two yelped and cried with happiness to see each other." Aww! Glad to hear it!
