A good news anchor expects the unexpected, and the "truthiness" is, Stephen Colbert is a champ in that regard!
MTV pulled the plug on a scheduled appearance by Daft Punk on The Colbert Report, alleging that the French electro-disco duo were supposed to perform their summer hit "Get Lucky" exclusively at the Video Music Awards on August 25.
So what did Stephen do to fill in the gap in last night's show? He danced his way through the verses of "Get Lucky," traveling backstage to dance with House's Hugh Laurie, down a set of stairs to shake his butt with Jeff Bridges, to the set of Late Night to shimmy with Jimmy Fallon, to the set of Charlie Rose to boogie in front of the cast of Breaking Bad (even recruiting star Bryan Cranston for a roller-skate dance-off), to Washington to disrupt the office of former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and finally back to his home turf to cut a rug with Matt Damon. Oh, of course there are other star-studded waypoints along the way, so you'll just have to check out the full video for all of that action!Source: The Colbert Report
