UPDATE: Chris Brown's rep confirmed that CB did suffer a seizure. Here's the rep's statement (via Gossip Cop): "Chris suffered a non-epileptic seizure (NES)… His doctor tended to him [Friday] afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."
Sorry to hear that he did indeed have a seizure — we hoped it was just a misunderstanding — but that last part sounds more like an editorial than a medical diagnosis. Does "non-stop negativity" really have that much power? And what about the power of positive thinking? For every Chris "hater" there's a fan who supports him. Not everyone still wants to punish him for an infamously big mistake he made when he was a teenager. Plus, he has his friends and an entourage, etc. He's not exactly a loner victim.
Anyway, let's hope he gets some rest, stays well, and finds a positive place away from the negative influences in his life.
Chris Brown reportedly had a seizure early this morning at Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood.
A 911 call was placed relaying that news just after 1 a.m., and TMZ says EMTs rushed to help.
It’s still not clear what happened, or even if Chris definitely had a seizure, but he reportedly refused treatment and refused to be transported to the hospital.
TMZ says Chris has a history of seizures, suffering them as a child. (Kind of like Lil Wayne?)
The story is developing, so more details should come in. CB may not be everyone's favorite guy, but seizures are no joke. We hope he's well.
By the way, this is becoming the year of the celebrity seizure. Lil Wayne. Kelly Osbourne. Jarret Stoll. Even Tan Mom. And now maybe Chris Brown. Not liking this trend at all.
