Mad Men may be coming to a close at the end of this season, but if it were up to Christina Hendricks, the show would never go off the air.

The stunning actress, who is nominated for the Oustanding Supporting Actress Emmy for the fourth time, revealed to Access Hollywood that she can hardly bear to think about the show coming to a close at the end of its seventh season.

"I want to do this job forever, and ever, and ever, but I sadly believe this is going to be our last season," said Christina. "I think Matt Weiner, our creator, has a very specific story he wants to tell, and knowing that you have an end, you can write up to that point. It's not left open-ended. I think it deserves that nice little tie up."

While she has her Emmy nomination to look forward to, Christina said that, despite her reputation as a trendsetter, events like these always give her the jitters. "There's so much judgment, people just staring at you, criticizing you," she said.

"I just want to go and have a nice time, but you've got to think about so many little details."

However, she couldn't complain about her glamorous life for too long, conceding, " At the end of the day, once you're there, you do have a nice time."
