Why would they ever do such a thing? Because it was raining and she was 20 minutes late. As Bey bestie Justin Timberlake would say, cry me a river.
Sure, nobody likes to be kept waiting, especially in inclement weather, but booing Bey seems a bit extreme. When she did arrive at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Beyonce thanked the fans who stuck it out, reportedly saying, “Thank you all so much for waiting in the rain ... Now let's have some fun in the rain. It feels good doesn't it.”
Unfortunately, things didn’t go much more smoothly after the megastar’s arrival. The sound was reportedly horrid while fans at home were miffed they couldn’t watch the 90-minute performance on telly (the rumor is Beyonce didn’t grant broadcasting rights to Channel 4). As if there aren’t a million other videos of her out there…
But despite the bad weather, long wait, crappy sound, and limited access, Beyonce’s performance didn’t disappoint according to some fans with one critic writing, “Her every turn, glance and flash of teeth only add to an aura of cool feminine domination.” Girls, they run the world.
