Kanye West made his mark in VMA history in 2009 when he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech to inform that crowd that Beyonce, in fact, had the best video of all time. But there don’t seem to be any hard feelings from MTV, who have invited the Yeezus rapper to perform at the 2013 Video Music Awards, airing on Sunday, August 25 at 9 p.m. EST.

In fact, this will mark Kanye’s seventh performance at the awards show, tying him with Madonna for the most VMA performances of all time.

Kanye is set to be performing his song “Black Skinhead,” and no word yet on whether Kim Kardashian and baby North West will be in attendance.

And since Taylor Swift and Beyonce aren’t up for any of the same awards, maybe Kanye can behave himself this year.
