Not really sure how we feel about it, but there’s something in the way Rihanna and Drake move around one another that feels like their relationship wouldn’t be the worst idea ever. The pair has been connected in the past, and was spotted out in New York late last week while both were in town for the MTV Video Music Awards.
But rather than sneaky paparazzi catching the pair in action, their date at Sons of Essex was announced by someone a little unexpected: the restaurant’s chef!
Usually restaurant people try to keep things under wraps while dates are still going on, in order to keep their clientele coming back. But if RiRi and the guy from Degrassi Drake showed up in our dining room, we’d reach for our phones too. You can’t buy that kind of publicity...
And another diner posted about their evening, pointing out that perhaps Ri & D take their privacy extra seriously.
The two singers have been linked in one way or another for quite some time, with a rumored romance happening back in 2011 after Rihanna and Chris Brown broke up for the umpteenth time. Drake talked about their breakup back then, saying "At the time it hurt, but she didn't mean to. I'll never put that on her. I was hurt because I started to slowly realize what it was. I guess I thought it was more."
Recently, his “Hold On We’re Going Home” was rumored to be about her, and Rihanna tweeted some of the lyrics to show her support of the rapper. Drake and Chris Brown also got in a violent brawl at a nightclub, which is still rumored to have been over Rihanna.
At the VMAs on Sunday, Drake sat in front of Rihanna while Chris did not attend.
In the absence of any actual evidence that these two are a couple, we take it to you: What do you think, should Rihanna and Drake date?
