Jon & Kate Plus Hate continues...

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kate Gosselin filed a lawsuit on August 26, accusing ex-husband Jon Gosselin of stealing her her drive and hacking into her phone and computer to get material for his tell-all book.

“Jon violated a federal anti-hacking statute in order to publish salacious, scandalous and defamatory information about Kate,” said her lawyer A. Jordan Rushie. “It’s damaged her reputation.”

Her reputation wasn't exactly stellar before that, but the 2012 book in question — Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World — was written by Jon and tabloid writer Robert Hoffman and pulled from the market after only two days because Kate claims most of the info was obtained illegally.

Gosselin is suing for identity theft, wiretapping and invasion of privacy and seeks unspecified damages.

Head here to see EW's roundup of the Gosselin lawsuits over the years, including when Jon threatened to seek primary custody of the kids on grounds that Kate’s appearances on Dancing With the Stars made her an absentee mother. (It’s easy to hate on Kate, but you never hear threats like that against the many other celeb parents on DWTS.)

Jon recently talked to Dads Round Table about a book he wrote that he's not sure he wants to publish right now. "It has a lot of stuff going on, legality wise, I mean it would pretty much sum up everything. Why I did this, where I went, what was the purpose, I mean, leaving the network, I had to make money."

It could be juicy, but he's probably right to worry about the legal aspect. Live and learn!
