UPDATE (9/12/13): Nope. McCrae was voted out at the final four.
Minnesota pizza delivery boy McCrae Olson, 24, was the first Head of Household on Big Brother 15. He immediately made a (now defunct) alliance called the Moving Company, and got into a (still active, but thankfully no longer televised) showmance with bully/Evel Dick-wannabe, Amanda Zuckerman.
As we exit Week 10, McCrae and Amanda — aka McCranda — are no longer running the house because Amanda just got evicted (followed by Elissa Slater in the Week 10 double eviction). Since McCrae is kinda likable, which is more than could be said of Amanda, he might actually win.
McCranda successfully eliminated fellow power player Helen Kim and created what was a strong 3AM alliance with competition queen Aaryn Gries and house spy Andy Herren. But despite looking almost bulletproof, when Elissa won Week 9 HoH, she put up McCrae and Aaryn. Amanda saved her man with the Power of Veto, but Aaryn went home, marking the end of 3AM.
While on the block, Andy formed a new final four alliance — The Exterminators — with Spencer Clawson, GinaMarie Zimmerman, and Judd Daugherty. However, Spencer and Andy both seem close to McCrae, and McCrae is now on a winning streak. He won POV when he was on the block and he won HOH after Amanda left, sending home Elissa.
This shows that — despite his "I smoke all the time!" claims — he may have just been holding back all season so he seemed less threatening. He did win the first HoH and the first POV of the season, and now he has motivation to actually work instead of just sitting in bed all day with Amanda.
Yes, being partnered with Amanda has tarnished McCrae’s reputation a bit, but he was always the (much) more sensible and likable of the two. He often tried to cool her down and remind her not to anger the people who would soon become jury members. If McCrae makes it to final two, he might get the win, especially if he sits next to Spencer or GM —or maybe Andy, if the jury is bitter against all his lies.
What do you think? Will the pizza boy slice up a win?
Big Brother airs Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday nights on CBS.
