A certain music star just got a new problem.
Rapper A$AP Rocky, who had a massive hit earlier this year with "F**king Problems," has been charged with assaulting a female fan in Philadelphia over the weekend, according to TMZ.
The alleged victim is a young mom who claims she attended an A$AP concert on August 31 when the 24-year-old rapper got violent. She says he was making his way through the crowd during the concert, with girls grabbing at his shirt, when he suddenly slapped her in the face. The woman — who says she suffered whiplash from the alleged assault — filed a criminal complaint with the District Attorney's office today. The D.A.'s office has reviewed the case and is charging A$AP with misdemeanor simple assault. A$AP has yet to comment on the allegation.
This is not the rapper's first brush with the law. Last year, A$AP — whose debut album, LONG.LIVE.A$AP, debuted at number one on the charts this year — was sued for allegedly beating a man in a clothing store and two photographers outside who witnessed the incident. A$AP eventually pled guilty to grand larceny, so the assault and robbery charges from the incident were dropped.
