On Parenthood, characters make fans happy-cry and ugly-cry every week, and it sounds like that trend will continue in Season 5. When the show returns for a full 22-episode season on September 26, a beloved couple could be on the rocks — and another relationship may not happen at all!

According to TVLine, Joel and Julia’s marriage is explored in a new way this season: with a rocky road. “We've never really done a story where we've looked at one of these marriages in jeopardy," executive producer Jason Katims reveals of the Grahams’ love life, "and we do explore that this season.” Surprisingly, those complications come from Lost's Sonya Walger and The Office's David Denman entering the picture.

This comes on the heels of potential “heartbreak” for newly-engaged Amber and Ryan with a new man (Tyson Ritter) in the picture, plus Crosby and Jasmine drama when it comes to their newborn baby. The EP also hints that Kristina will grapple with her dreams of politics being put on the back burner, though thankfully no big drama ahead for her and husband Adam.
