Does it tear up your heart every time you turn on the TV and there are people who won’t quit playin’ games on a reality show? You know how it goes: The hardest thing about watching is the distinct lack of boy band singers and dancers (and amazing fashion-wearers) to write ballads about what it feels like to be on a reality show. Well, all that’s about to change.

Why, you ask? Well, because Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter is getting his own reality show and we know he’ll never break our heart.

As Nick prepares to walk down the aisle (say “I Do”?) with fiancée Lauren Kitt, he’s just gotten the green light for a VH1 show which “chronicles Carter’s life as he tries to make amends with his past and prepare for his upcoming nuptials.”

Hmm, “make amends with his past” sounds pretty heavy. We’re wondering exactly what that’s about. One thing that comes to mind, though, is that his sister Leslie died of a prescription drug overdose in February 2012, and Nick didn’t attend the funeral because of a “complicated” family dynamic.

Perhaps getting famous at such a young age — 33-year-old Nick was a young teenager when the Backstreet Boys rose to the top — complicated his personal life more than we ever knew.

While we hope the show is more Newlyweds than There & Back: Ashley Parker Angel, we have one request: Please let Aaron’s Carter sing “Aaron’s Party” on the show at least once. Cuz before Selena ever said it, the younger Carter was already telling people to “come and get it.”

Will you watch Nick Carter’s reality show? Tell us if you want it that way.
