Update (November 6, 2013): TMZ has obtained photos of 4-year-old Bob Sheen — taken before and after Bob's stay with Brooke Mueller and showing a huge red mark on the side of his face — which Charlie's ex-wife Denise Richards sent to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. The site reports that Charlie believes the mark to be a burn and thinks it's proof that Brooke is an unfit parent. Check out the photos here.

Original story (September 9, 2013):

Charlie Sheen may still be courting goddesses and thinking he can breathe life back into Lindsay Lohan’s career, but when it comes to his parenting skills, it looks like things are on the uptick for ol’ Chuckie Fresh.

RadarOnline reports that now that Charlie is working with closer to a full deck, he’s trying to be the best dad he can be, which involves keeping his ex, Brooke Mueller, as far away from their children as possible.

Charlie is reportedly concerned that Brooke may be able to regain custody of the former couple’s six-year-old twins, Bob and Max, who spend most of their time with Charlie’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, and spend most weekends with Charlie.

“Charlie is absolutely heartsick that Brooke is on track to get the boys back,” says a source for the site.

“Let’s be real, Brooke has battled an addiction to crystal meth for most of her adult life, what are the odds she is going to stay sober?”

“It’s just not safe for the boys to be in her care. Does something tragic have to happen in order for a judge to strip Mueller of her parental rights?”

Brooke, who has been arrested multiple times, and is currently undergoing substance abuse treatment, has a custody hearing scheduled for December, which has Charlie frightened, particularly in light of his own issues with the law.

“She has impressed social workers from the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services. Quite remarkably, given how low she has been, Brooke is now on track to get the boys back,” says the source.

“The goal of CPS is always for reunification of families because the belief is that it always better for a natural birth parent to be the primary caregiver.”

Do you think Brooke should get her kids back?
