We’re used to seeing Vanessa Hudgens sporting leggings and sneakers while leaving the yoga studio in LA, but the 24-year-old actress sure cleans up nice!
In the October issue of Marie Claire magazine, the Frozen Ground star stuns in cleavage-baring styles as she opens up about her struggles in the business, her friendships with fellow celebs, and her hopes for the future.
“My parents gave up so much,” Vanessa reveals of her modest upbringing. “Money was a big thing. My parents drove me up to LA, which cost a lot because of gas, and took out loans so that we could move from location to location to be close to LA. The family definitely struggled.”
With film credits like Thirteen and the High School Musical franchise, Vanessa’s clearly grateful for the good fortune she’s been granted. While it would be easy to let all of her successes go to head, she doesn’t let the world of Hollywood affect her.
“A sense of knowing I'm a part of something bigger than myself has allowed me to enjoy life more,” she explains. "[I don’t] worry about the little things, like paparazzi. [...] You have a choice whether you want to be happy or not. I choose to be happy.”
Vanessa’s happy, humble attitude inspires those around her, and she’s cultivated friendships with similarly down-to-earth girls. Namely, Selena Gomez.
Of her Spring Breakers co-star, Selena says, “She’s not jaded at all. The person you see and talk to is the same person I talk to.” Her Frozen Ground co-star John Cusack agrees, adding, “She’s very mature for her age.”
Vanessa may be super content with her life right now, but she’s got big dreams for the future. “[I want] a vintage Mustang, kids, and an Oscar.”
Sounds like she’s well on her way!
