The always-shocking pop star currently ranks in the bottom 1 percent for — you ready for this lengthy list? — appeal, aspiration, breakthrough, endorsement, and trust, according to the Huffington Post. Whew.
Of the seven categories that Miley was tested in, the only two that she didn't land in the bottom 1 percent in ere trend-setter and influence, and even in those, she was in the bottom 20 percent. The poll was conducted by Celebrity DBI, with the results representing public opinion through August 2013.
As a point of comparison, Miley was in the top 3 percent in influence and trend-setter and top 23 percent in endorsement. So Miley has taken quite a tumble in the court of public opinion, and it's safe to say that her controversial VMAs performance last month didn't really help things. Maybe she should have vowed to keep her tongue in her mouth sooner?
Other startling findings from the poll include that older people especially have grown tired of Miley's antics, with only 1 percent of adults over 55 saying that they like her a lot. But even younger people aren't all that impressed, as 43 percent of people aged 18 to 24 say they dislike her a lot. Harsh!
But what do YOU think? Is Miley misunderstood, or did the people in the poll get it right? Either way, it isn't exactly a party in the USA to be Miley Cyrus these days.
