Even though Big Brother 15 is wrapping up on September 16, fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they can already expect Season 16 — and the super fan’s companion Big Brother: After Dark — to make Summer 2014 that more enjoyable.
According to Deadline.com, CBS’s hit summer reality show will definitely be making a splash next summer, after what has proven to be both an entertaining and controversial season.
The show recently celebrated its 500th episode, marking a huge milestone for the reality series, which is produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment.
This season has been an intense one for the franchise, with a huge controversy over racism and bigotry which was rampant in the house. Houseguest Aaryn Gries took most of the heat for this, with Spencer Clawson in a close second with his child pornography remarks.
There were also huge personalities that made this season worth watching, with Big Brother legend Rachel Reilly’s little sister Elissa Slater making it pretty far, along with spitfire Amanda Zuckerman and her pizza boy boyfriend McCrae Olson ensuring their status as one of the most epic showmances in show history.
We’re already counting down the days until Big Brother 16 kicks off!
