Charlie Sheen may want to lawyer up, because TMZ reports that Selma Blair is waging legal war — threatening to sue Charlie and Lionsgate Entertainment for the $1.2 million she would have made had she not been written off Anger Management, the FX sitcom on which they both starred.
Selma alleges that Charlie ousted her after she talked smack about his work ethic to crew members. She was apparently upset that he spent valuable shooting time holing up in his trailer to memorize lines — the actorly equivalent of doing your homework right before class.
But sources tell TMZ that Charlie had four times as much screen time — and dialogue — as Selma. Besides, as one crew member asserts, "When you work twelve hours a day and have three girlfriends at home, it's hard to memorize all the lines for tomorrow."
The sources also reveal that the producers were planning an 8-episode exit for Selma anyway since "America didn't want to see Charlie with just one girlfriend" — and that once Charlie heard of Selma's griping, he just accelerated the process.
Now Selma and Lionsgate are talking in efforts to reach a settlement, the insiders reveal.
