Survivor: Blood vs. Water, Season 27 of the long-running CBS reality competition show, premieres on Wednesday, September 18 before the season finale of Big Brother 15, and we have to say that we’re super excited.

This season of Survivor is going to be a crazy one. The location for the series is the Philippines, just like it has been for the past two seasons. But this time it’s being filmed at Palaui Island, Cagayan. What a lovely vacation spot — if you’re not roughing it on a beach trying to outwit, outplay, and outlast in a cast of 20.

Speaking of the cast, it’s made up of 10 returning players from previous seasons and someone they are related to — making the tagline of the season make more sense. They’re obviously trying to put the whole “blood is thicker than water” thing to the test. The returning competitors will be on the Galang tribe while their family members/significant others will be on the Tadhana tribe.

Seeing previous contestants like Rupert Boneham and Tyson Apostol interact with their loved ones is going to make this season one to remember.
