It appears that a star's real life is getting a little too close to a character whom he recently played in a hit movie.
Rapper Gucci Mane was arrested in Atlanta in the wee hours of September 14 after reportedly threatening cops and possessing a gun and drugs, according to TMZ.
Gucci, 33, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. after a friend told the cops about his seemingly erratic behavior. When the cops approached Gucci, he started "cursing and threatening them," according to a source. Gucci was then reportedly taken in custody, at which point cops found a small amount of marijuana and a handgun on him. He was booked for carrying a concealed weapon, marijuana possession, and disorderly conduct.
This is hardly Gucci's first run-in with the law. He was arrested in March 2013 for allegedly assaulting a fan with a champagne bottle, along with a slew of other drug, assault, and weapons charges over the years.
Gucci played bad guy Big Arch in this year's hit film Spring Breakers, opposite Selena Gomez, James Franco, and Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson. His most recent album, Trap House III, came out in May and debuted at number 175 on the Billboard chart.
Frankly, if anyone else starts to mimic their Spring Breakers character, we'd want it to be James Franco. We'd love to see him sit down at a piano to sing some Britney Spears tunes in real life.
