Following the news that the Jonas Brothers were cancelling their 19-date tour just two days before it was scheduled to start, fans began to wonder what was behind the sudden change of plans.
From the outside, the brothers have always seemed close, so we were shocked to hear a spokesperson for the band cite “deep rifts” and “big disagreements” over the direction of their music.
That said, it seems like the siblings are trying to work out their issues. After spending time on opposite coasts, Joe and Kevin Jonas were spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood on Tuesday, October 15. It was the first time the duo have been photographed together since announcing their cancellation, and they were joined by addiction specialist and Cast Recovery CEO Mike Bayer.
It’s unknown whether Joe hired Mike as his recovery manager (as Demi Lovato did following her stint in rehab in 2010) or whether they’re just friends, but it’s not the first time the two have been seen together. On October 11, TMZ caught Joe entering a recording studio in West Hollywood with Mike by his side.
The sightings have only fueled speculation that tour cancellation is, in fact, due to addiction issues Joe might be battling. Whether or not there’s truth to the rumors, we hope the Jo-Bros can patch things up quickly, both for themselves and their fans.
