ORIGINAL STORY (October 17, 2013):
Keep teen heartthrob Austin Mahone in your thoughts this week. The 17-year-old YouTube sensation has been hospitalized after feeling sick for several days.
Austin was rushed to the hospital at 9 a.m. on October 17, a source tells People, adding: “It’s unclear what the singer’s condition is at this time.”
In case that last part has you stressed out (we know it made us nervous!), take some hope from the fact that Austin’s feeling okay enough to go online. Earlier today, the star sent out a quick message to his concerned fans; in the accompanying photo, a hospital-gowned Austin is hooked up to an IV and looks as sick as he says he is. “I've never felt so bad,” reads the caption.
Poor Austin! We hope this is just a bad flu and that he’ll be back on his feet soon. Until then, the singer’s first solo tour has been postponed.
“Mahomies I’m so so so sorry but I have to reschedule the shows tomorrow in Miami and in Orlando,” he wrote on October 16. “I can’t believe this is happening its my first tour I’m so upset. I feel like I’m letting you all down.”
Don’t worry about that now, Austin. Just focus on getting better!
