Talk about a fail whale. Any fans of the Jonas Brothers are now hit with a “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” message when trying to access the group’s official Twitter account — a telltale sign that the account has been deleted. Meanwhile, Kevin, Joe, and Nick’s individual profiles remain active.

What does closing their group Twitter mean for the brothers Jonas? Probably nothing good. Already the boys have canceled a 19-date tour in the United States and Canada while rumors have flown that they’re on the outs with one another. That said, Kevin and Joe were spotted hanging out earlier this week at the Chateau Marmont hotel. Also in their posse: addiction specialist Mike Bayer

Mike’s recently frequent presence in Joe’s entourage has fueled rumors that the 26-year-old is facing issues with substance abuse. Sources close to Joe insist that he is not in rehab though, of course, that doesn’t mean he isn’t seeking outpatient treatment.

Whether medical issues or something else entirely is behind the Jonas Brothers’s recent shakeups, we do know they’re undergoing some kind of radical change. “There is a deep rift within the band,” says trio’s spokesperson. “There was a big disagreement over their music direction.”

And, clearly, their social media strategy.
