You guys, we’ve got to talk about the Jonas Brothers. We know it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the three in recent weeks. First they cancel their North America and Canada tour just a few days before it’s scheduled to start a 19-date run. Then come the rumors that Joe’s battling problems with addiction followed up by news they’ve deactivated their official Twitter account as a group.
Not helping us feel any better about this potential rip in the pop music time continuum is a new report from People. “They are not getting along at all,” a source tells the magazine. “It’s uglier than you think.”
According to this source, who People identifies as someone in the music industry, the brothers are each looking into solo projects: “They are moving forward away from the Jonas Brothers. I think this is the beginning of the end.”
Beginning of the end of the pop version of the Jonas Brothers, perhaps, but not of their brotherly bond. “The idea that this is acrimonious is wrong,” a source close to the band tells the magazine. “The guys are all talking and haven’t stopped talking ever.”
Well, at least there’s that. As much as we’d miss the trio crooning in harmony, family comes first.
