We're pretty sure the first rule of rehab is, don't go to an alcohol-sodden Super Bowl party. And perhaps Chris Brown needs a refresher course on that wisdom.
TMZ reports that the controversial hip-hop star was on a brief leave from his rehab facility on Sunday, February 2, when he decided to make a token appearance at the Super Bowl party of his friend, rapper Trey Songz.
And, as the site notes, the bash was "filled with girls and booze."
Eyewitnesses say that Chris was only present at the soiree for ten minutes and only appeared because he thought it was a charity event. Uh huh. We don't even need ten minutes to be real skeptical of that claim.
Sources close to Chris tell the site that the 24-year-old didn't drink and was monitored by an employee of the rehab facility.
The "Love More" singer first entered rehab in October to "gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point," per an official statement.
Two weeks later, he checked himself out of the facility. Within days, a judge had ordered him back into rehab. Apparently, he also thought he could keep marijuana with him during the stay — no such luck.
Here's hoping that this rehab stint sticks, despite Chris's ridiculous behavior.
