Ready to explode from adorable overload? Then Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler’s duet from last night’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon will definitely do the trick.
After (a very pregnant) Drew and Adam appeared on Jimmy’s show to promote their new movie, Blended, they performed a song together — with Jimmy on guitar, of course — about their long shared career as on-screen lovers.
Since they first made movie magic together in The Wedding Singer, Drew and Adam joined up again in 50 First Dates when Adam fell in love with Drew’s character, who suffered from severe short term memory loss. Now, they’re starring together in Blended as two single parents who end up stuck on vacation together with their children.
We’d say they’re the next Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, but that would be blasphemy.
In the duet, Drew sings, “You are the Fred to my Ginger Rogers,” to which Adam replies, “You are the Tom Ford to my crack cocaine.”
Make sure you watch ‘til the end, because the best part comes in the form of a surprise from Adam to Drew when Adam throws in a line from the song he sang in 50 First Dates — and Drew almost cries. Could their friendship be any cuter? The answer is no.
