The Artist Formerly Known as Ke$ha is taking a page from the strangely named musicians who have come before her. Now that the “Tik Tok” singer has emerged from rehab, having successfully overcome her struggle with eating disorder, and is making strides to change her life for the better — and for now that means dropping the infamous dollar sign from her name.

She is Ke$ha no longer. Looks like the world is going to have to get used to calling her Kesha now (wait, is there even a difference?). The singer has changed her Twitter name to reflect these developments and her Twitter handle is now @KeshaRose — which makes sense because her real name is Kesha Rose Sebert.

“Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can’t thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me ❤️️,” Kesha tweeted yesterday (March 6). The “Timber” singer followed up that post with, “Life is beautiful. I’m so blessed to have u all ❤️️.”

We’re so glad Kesha is feeling better and is getting back in the studio. We love all of the life changes she has made (even dropping the $ sign), but hope she doesn’t lose that party girl spunk that we’ve gotten used to over the years.

Are you shocked that Kesha changed her name? Hit the comments and let us know if you’ll miss the dollar sign!
