Still hoping Eva Longoria may go the route of celebrities like Charlize Theron and Sandra Bullock and have a baby on her own? Yeah, not so much. The Devious Maids producer says she’s never felt the need to procreate as long as she’s single.
“I’ve always wanted a family,” she tells Parade. “I believe in family. But children are a product of love. So I don’t think I’ll go off and have a baby by myself. I do not have that need to procreate.”
We totally respect Eva’s choice but we can’t help but admit to a twinge of sadness at her statement. Does this mean a mini-Eva would have been possible if she and husband Tony Parker were still together? The two split in 2011 after four years of marriage, and it was one of the nastier breakups Hollywood’s seen of late.
Eva, for her part, seems at peace with the passing of time. She recently turned 39 and says she’d “never want to repeat” her 20s.
“I welcome age with open arms because I want to evolve as a human being, gain more wisdom,” she says. “I have so much more to do! And the only way you do that is with age.”
