If you ask us, just the experience of wearing gold contact lenses and glowing in the Twilight movies is one we’d pay money for. When you add in the fact that we would get to lock lips with eternal hottie Rob Pattinson? Well, that’s freaking priceless. But according to TMZ, you can put a price on Rob and Kristen Stewart’s star power — and it’s a hefty sum.
The news site reports that R.Patz and K.Stew are currently embroiled in a lawsuit over their bonuses for starring in Twilight way back in 2008 (has it really been that long?!). Word is, according to legal documents TMZ snagged, Rob Pattinson pulled in a 300 thousand dollar bonus for his starring role in the first installment of the four-part series.
Now, while we wouldn’t shake a stick at that amount, considering the movie raked in 351 million dollars worldwide, that’s certainly what the kids would call “chump change.” Later, when Robsten hit the bargaining table to sign on for the second installation, New Moon, they upped their ante.
The lawsuit claims that the two stars got producers to agree to shell out 2.5 million dollars — not for the new movie, but for Twilight, after the fact. Now, there’s disagreement as far as who was responsible for getting the screen queen and king their bonuses.
But don’t feel too bad, if you’re still thinking about that paltry and offensively small (we kid, we kid) amount of money they picked up. TMZ also says that when they made Breaking Dawn: Parts 1 & 2, Rob got paid 25 million dollars… plus back-end royalties.
All that and he’s going to live forever? Afterlife is so unfair.
