Seeing a First Lady on TV isn’t exactly a novel concept, but seeing her on a scripted TV show? There’s something we’re still getting use to. But if any First Lady can tackle the challenges of acting like a champion, it's Michelle Obama.

The next soundstage Michelle will be flexing her famous arms for is none other than Nashville. The ABC hit’s getting a little extra love from Capitol Hill thanks to a politically themed script.

TV Line reports Mrs. Obama will appear in the May 7 episode. She’ll play herself (and we sure hope the credits read “FLOTUS played by FLOTUS”) as Connie Britton’s character Rayna Jaymes organizes a charity concert. The event’s being held after Luke Wheeler (Will Chase) gets injured in Afghanistan and so has to cut his tour short.

Also appearing in the episode is American Idol darling Kellie Pickler, officially cementing this as Nashville’s most star-studded installment ever.

If Michelle’s feeling nervous at all for her upcoming role, we suggest she go chat up the Vice President. Joe Biden made a long-awaited guest appearance on Parks & Recreation, where he’s the mega-crush of leading lady Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler). We doubt Connie will be quite as over the moon to see Michelle, but we know we’ll be!

Surprised by the megawatt guest star, or think it totally fits? Hit the comments!
