Throughout 30 Rock’s seven-season run, we’ve seen Liz Lemon get intimate with more cheese plates than men, but that could all change in the series finale.
Grizz Chapman, who plays Grizz Griswold on the hit comedy, has quite the plan for the show’s ending.
“I would love for Liz Lemon and Grizz to get together, because that’s something that no one would see coming,” Grizz spilled to Wetpaint Entertainment at the New York City premiere of Here Comes the Boom on Oct. 9. “I think that would throw everybody off!”
But for co-star Katrina Bowden, she just wants her character Cerie Xerox — which she dished is definitely of Xerox copier fame — to end the season with her husband in tow.
“We still never even met who she’s married to, so that would be really cool to finally see that,” she spilled to us at the SuperTrash Flagship Store opening on Oct. 18 in New York City. “[He’s] a crazy, crazy mysterious guy.”
And that won’t be the only new face we’ll be seeing this season. Although Katrina’s favorite guest star thus far was Bryan Cranston (due to her Breaking Bad obsession), there are plenty more to come.
“We have some more that have been on recently, but I never know what I can say or not say, so I’m going to keep my mouth shut!” she said with a laugh. However, she would spill that there will be a “couple repeat characters” and that the final season is “really exciting and kind of sad [because] we’re like a family!”
For Grizz, while ending the show is sad — “I have a big tear,” he said with a frown — it was all worth it to bring head honcho Tina Fey’s dream a reality.
“I think the most exciting thing about 30 Rock for me was bringing Tina’s vision to life,” he said. “I think that would probably be the biggest thing out of all the years that we’ve been there; just bringing whatever she writes and have the opportunity to bring it to life is a wonderful thing.”
30 Rock’’s final season airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
