Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries yesterday, turning her fairytale wedding into a nightmarish divorce after only 72 days. Wedding bills don’t always bring wedded bliss. Here is Wetpaint Entertainment’s list of other shockingly brief celebrity marriages:

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander: 55 hours

Britney and Jason were married for a brief 2.5 days back in 2004. The childhood friends later had their shotgun Vegas wedding annulled. Britney went on to marry Kevin Federline in 2004, and was married to him until 2006. Brit Brit is now engaged to agent Jason Trawick.

Ali Landry and Mario Lopez: 2 weeks

This wasn’t just a case of too-fast-too-soon; Mario Lopez blatantly cheated on Ali Landry at his bachelor party, just days before their wedding. Ali filed for annulment just 2 weeks later after catching Mario in a lie about the indiscretion, Mario tells Us Weekly.

Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas: 1 month

Mom was right: Nothing good happens after 2 in the morning. At 5 a.m., Drew Barrymore married bar owner Jeremy Thomas back in 1994, when she was a wee 19 years old. Drew filed for divorce a month later, on April 28, 1994. Wah-wah.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries: 2.5 months

Reality starlet Kim Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries on August 20, 2011, and, in a move that shocked no one the world, Kim filed for divorce on October 31, 2011. So long, fairytale wedding. Hello, nightmare divorcee reality.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito: 4 months

Bradley Cooper married Blue Bloods actress Jennifer Esposito in December 2006. Jennifer filed for divorce in May 2007, and Bradley told Howard Stern that the split was amicable; “It was just something that happened,” he said, adding, “The good thing is, we both realized it.”

Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney: 4 months

Rom com starlet Renee Zellweger married country singer Kenny Chesney in 2005, after just four months of dating. Renee cited “fraud” as the reason for divorce. The couple released a joint statement, explaining: "The miscommunication of the objective of their marriage at the start is the only reason for this annulment."
