With Dance Moms a breakout success heading into its third season, a guest-star stint on Drop Dead Diva, and her hand on the butt of a boy toy, Abby Lee Miller seems to be on top of the dance-show world.

We caught up with Abby Lee at the InTouch Weekly Icons & Idols party last night and chatted with her about her hot mystery guy, her new show, and her critics.

Abby Lee Miller: Is this Wetpaint?

Wetpaint Entertainment: Yes, Wetpaint!
I want to thank Wetpaint.

Great! Why?
Because [Wetpaint] put pictures all over the place of me and this really hot guy, and I got more applause for that than anything I’ve ever choreographed — yes!

So who is the hot guy?
He’s somewhere here [at the party]. I don’t know where he went. His name is John Corella, and he created the show [Dance Moms].

Is it a romance?
Well, I’m in love with him, and he’s in love with him. [Laughs]

You have a great sense of humor. Do you have a new show coming on?
We do. It’s Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. It’s on Lifetime, of course and it’s [like] Dance Moms and So You Think You Can Dance — a whole new hybrid of things all wrapped up into one. It’s great.

What’s the concept? What will people see?
Well, they’re going to see children thirteen and under competing and performing each week. The prize is $100,000 and a full, four-year scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet in New York City with room and board; and it’s going to change somebody’s life, absolutely. Each week the kids do a number, we vote somebody off. The judges are Robin Antin, who created the Pussycat Dolls; Richard Jackson, Lady Gaga’s artistic director; and myself.

Is there also a new season of Dance Moms?
We start shooting Season 3 in two weeks. I have literally a week off. I’m busy — I have two shows, and I’m running my studio! We started the day after Labor Day for my 33rd year of teaching.

Have you seen Here Comes Honey Boo Boo?
I’ve seen bits and pieces. Her numbers are right up there — so give the kid credit!

What do you think of June, the mom?
I really don’t know. I didn’t get into it too much. It’s really not my cup of tea. I want to see the kids all clean and wholesome in costumes. I’m not a beauty pageant type of person. I want to see the talent.

You got some flack for your comments and behavior on Dance Moms. What do you say to people who dissed you?
They don’t get it. It’s editing, number one; but number two, when you tell a kid to pick up the clothes off the bedroom floor the first time, you’re nice. The tenth time? You’re a little irritated. The 30th time, you’re going to make them eat the clothes. That’s what you see on television — the 30th time. I’m raising these children. I have kids all over here. And actually, one just performed tonight at the VMAs during Michael Rooney’s choreography for Taylor Swift. She’s 18, she just graduated from high school and from my studio, and [she] moved out here. Her name is Taylor Ackerman, and I’m really proud — tonight’s her night. I’ve trained her her whole life. I have kids working all over the world, literally.
