Alec Baldwin isn’t about to let American Airlines have the last word. The outspoken actor fired back at the airline, which had released a statement explaining why they kicked him off a flight earlier this week. Published on Huffington Post, Alec’s response reads as an apology to his fellow passengers, but also alleges that he was treated unfairly. Still, he promises he’ll put his phone away in the future... if the flight attendant is a “1950s gym teacher.”
As Alec points out, airlines face serious budget issues, leading to fewer and fewer on-board services. He claims that customer service has gone downhill as well, leaving us with flight attendants who “walk the aisles of an airplane with a whistle around their neck and a clipboard in their hands.” Alec even goes so far to say that they’ve “made flying a Greyhound bus experience.”
During the actual incident, he felt that the flight attendant targeted him in particular, ignoring others who also had their phones out. His big takeaway was that some airline staff will call you out and some won’t, so you have to see who you’re dealing with.
We just hope he can stay out of trouble. After all, the guy just wants to play Words With Friends!
