Omarosa said she would take personal pride in eliminating the only All-Star Celebrity Apprentice contestant who had previously won. That meant you, Bret Michaels. And yet Bret picked her first for his team. Then let himself be convinced by the kneebound Brande Roderick that she would be the best project manager for the first task.
All of that was working against Bret, but worst of all was Donald Trump telling Bret, right at the start of the March 3 premiere episode, "I think you made a terrible mistake, personally." He never should’ve come back. So even though it didn’t seem quite fair, Bret was the first guy fired from All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.
The Donald chose Bret and Trace Adkins as team captains and had them choose their teammates in a classic schoolyard pick. Here’s the result:
La Toya Jackson
The first challenge was selling meatballs. Brande was named project manager for Power and they lost. Trace was named project manager for Plan B and they won.
You’d think Brande begging to be the PM — because she could raise so much money — would make her the ideal person to be fired when the other team won, especially since she wasn't sure about her own team's numbers. If not her, then why not Omarosa, since she’s openly conspiring against her own teammates? Well, that’s where reality TV comes into play, since Omarosa is good “drama” and the more she works it (especially vs. Piers Morgan), the more likely she is to stick around. Same with Gary Busey, who is basically a child everyone has agreed to adopt and watch over.
Do you think Bret deserved to be fired? If not him, then who?
