This Saturday, friends and family of the late Whitney Houston will gather at her childhood church, New Hope Baptist in Newark, New Jersey, to celebrate the singer's life the best way they know how — through song.

Aretha Franklin, Whitney's longtime friend and mentor, is set to perform along with music legend Steve Wonder, according to The Today Show.

Other celebrities expected to attend are Whitney's Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner, Clive Davis, Tyler Perry, R. Kelly, Alicia Keys, and Dionne Warwick.

TMZ reports that Oprah Winfrey may be in attendance.

As for Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown? Sources say the Houston family has officially extended him an invitation, despite some deep trepidation expressed by certain family members who blame Bobby for Whitney's downfall.

"At the last minute, the family felt that it would keep the peace at the funeral [to have Bobby there] … even though some family members were against it," a source told TMZ.

In addition to Saturday's service, there will be a private viewing for close friends and family at Whigham Funeral home in Newark.

After the service, Whitney's body will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey next to her father, John Russell Houston Jr., who passed away in 2003.
