If you’re an American Horror Story super-fan like us, then you have to admit that part of the show’s demented allure has to do with the grotesque and sickening imagery. So the descriptions of these new characters below will most definitely heighten your excitement for the show’s return.

Zap2It reports that three new characters will be introduced in AHS Season 2, and it sounds like each of them will be patients at the mental institution run by Jessica Lange in a new role.

First up is Jed, an 18-year-old white male, who is described as “thin, wiry, a farmhand. We need a brilliant inventive actor for a great guest lead.” Then there’s Clara, a middle-aged Latina woman, who is “extremely, extremely thin, freakish.” Clara will reportedly co-star in a three-episode arc. Could these two very thin characters be related somehow? Or at least, be in the same cafeteria clique at the ward?

Finally, there is Pepper, a “child-like, small, 4-5 feet tall” woman from age 20 to 40. The casting notice describes Pepper as “very charactery (possibly malformed … but proportionate, we need normal length arms, legs, torso, etc). Actress must be comfortable wearing facial prosthetics. Multi-episode co-star.”

Welcome to the sanitarium! Please join Chloe Sevigny and Adam Levine in the line for your meds. And try not to have sex with anyone on the walk over.

American Horror Story Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
