After seeing him in the buff from behind last season, we were overjoyed for several reasons when we learned that Dylan McDermott would return in some capacity for Season 2 of American Horror Story.

And we’re even more tantalized — and more than a little freaked — now that we know that he’s playing the modern-day Bloody Face, taking over the reins from Zachary Quinto’s Dr. Thredson, the serial killer who originated the reign of terror in the 1960s storyline.

Dylan McDermott posted a photo of himself shirtless and wearing what looks like a butcher’s apron to his WhoSay account today (Nov. 30), with a caption reading, “I am the modern day Bloody Face!” (Check out the photo below!)

We’d accuse Dylan of spoiling that reveal, but AHS mastermind Ryan Murphy did that earlier this morning on EW.com.

“Yes,” Ryan confirmed. “Dylan is modern day Bloody Face. So the question is, why is he the modern day Bloody Face? What is he doing? And that’s revealed in episode nine.”

So hot. And so terrifying.

Now, who do we gotta [bleep] to get Connie Britton on the show this season?
