Are you ready to go completely insane — and probably give yourself nightmares? Of course!
American Horror Story Season 2, Asylum, premieres tomorrow night (October 17) on FX. The story will be set in the 1960s at Briarcliff Manor Sanitarium in New England, which is run by returning AHS star Jessica Lange and Shakespeare in Love’s Joseph Fiennes.
Zachary Quinto is also returning for another round, and this time he will play a doctor (a sane one).
Zachary gave a big picture description of Asylum to On the Red Carpet: "I think if last season was about the breakdown of family, this season is about the breakdown of sanity. What is sanity? What is real? What is demonic? What is just evil? All of that stuff. It's pretty uncompromising and really, really relentless, so that's what I love about it."
Interesting ... Also interesting — according to E!, Evan Peters (Tate on Season 1) is one of the big stars of Wednesday's premiere, along with Jessica Lange. E! also adds, "And if you weren't scared of aliens before, you might be after the episode."
Aliens! That reminds us, a while back, Franka Potente (The Bourne Identity) teased a “pretty crazy revelation” about her character — who will reportedly appear in Episodes 4 and 5 — adding details that make it sound insane but possible and “related to something everybody knows historically.” Roswell, maybe?
