Did Anne Hathaway's Oscar "dream" begin to resemble a nightmare?

Anne — who won Best Supporting Actress for Les Miserables, thanks to her "I Dreamed a Dream" performance — apparently was not happy about co-star Amanda Seyfried's dress at an Oscar rehearsal last weekend, according to Us Weekly.

We've reported that Anne switched Oscar dresses at the last minute. It now appears that there was quite a bit of drama at the show's rehearsal on the day before the ceremony, which is when Anne first learned that Amanda would be wearing a similar dress to hers.

"Anne was like, 'WTF?!'" a source says about Anne's reaction when Amanda showed her a photo of her dress. "[Anne] started throwing a fit!"

Anne reportedly "never told Amanda she had to change the dress," but the drama was apparently too much for Amanda.

"Amanda didn't want to deal with it and left" the rehearsal, according to the source.

Then, tension stretched on into Oscar Sunday, as Anne deliberated over what to wear while at home on the big day.

"Anne made the fashion, makeup, hair, and jewelry teams wait at her home for hours as she decided what to do about the dress debacle," says another insider.

Anne addressed the dust-up earlier this week, writing in a statement, "I deeply regret any disappointment caused."

It sounds like things were more tense behind the scenes at the Oscars than they were during the French Revolution.
