Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day, but Anne Hathaway had to, um, cut some corners before marrying Adam Shulman on September 29. She had already chopped her hair, and lost 25 pounds, for her role as Fantine in the film adaptation of Les Miserables.

Les Mis screened on November 23 in New York, and Anne talked to journalists about her initial reaction to her extreme buzz cut. “When I eventually looked in the mirror I just thought I looked like my gay brother,” she said (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Hey, Anne’s gay brother is cute! Actually, she has two brothers and both of them are pretty fine. Anne previously explained that her family left the Catholic Church to support her older brother, Michael, who is gay. "Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"

Now Anne is on a path to be a Best Supporting Actress contender for her role as Fantine. And she’s probably going to grow her hair out, so her husband doesn’t think he married a different Hathaway sibling.
