Anne Hathaway may play fashionably challenged characters, but in real life, she’s anything but.

At her secret sunset wedding on Sept. 29, Anne wore a gorgeous custom Valentino gown with a long, elaborate train and veil. The off-the-shoulder number was lacy and romantic, contrasting with the rustic Big Sur, Calif. location where the nuptials were held.

However, she kept things down-to-earth with matching white flats, opting not to trek around the dusty barnside location in heels!

Husband Adam Shulman — whom she has been dating since November 2008 — went for a traditional tux and adorable bow tie, and he could be seen helping her hold up the long train as they walked around the private estate.

According to E! Online’s eyewitness, “Anne was ecstatic with how everything turned out and so in love with Adam. She was walking on air and never stopped smiling. He was doting on her, rubbing her back and helping her with her dress every step she took.”

Aww! We’re guessing that they shared a Princess Diaries-style, foot-poppin’ kiss, too!

Do you think that The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestly would approve of Anne’s wedding gown? And more importantly, what do you think? Weigh in below!
