Hollywood Life reports that journalist, essayist, and playwright Larry L. King died from emphysema at the age of 83, according to his wife, Barbara Blaine.
Larry wrote for Harper’s Bazaar, Playboy, and Texas Monthly in his career, but was best known for writing the book for the Broadway musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Larry is survived by his wife, his five children, and his two grandchildren.
To clarify some confusion: This is not CNN’s Larry King, who took to Twitter to reassure fans that he’s OK!
