Awkward is all new tonight (yes!), and Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with star Jillian Rose Reed to get the inside scoop on the dramalicious episode and what’s next for her character, the super sassy Tamara.

Even better, Jillian promises that Jenna (Ashley Rickards) will choose between Matty (Beau Mirchoff) and Jake (Brett Davern) by the end of the season. Read on for some juicy relationship teasers!

Wetpaint Entertainment: After what happened in last week’s episode, can Tamara give up on Ricky?

Jillian Rose Reed: You know, it's so hard because through the first season and now this season, she's just so attached to him, and she just can't get over him. But I really think that last week's episode was a turning point for her, when she heard Ricky and Sadie really expressing their love for each other. I think that hit her really hard, and it made her realize that she just does not deserve any of this. So I want to believe that this is the turning point for her. I think she knows that it's time to move on.

What can you tell us about tonight's episode?

My little brother [Robbie Tucker] is actually going to be guest starring on tonight's episode. Him and I have a couple of scenes together that are really, really funny. They’re just thrown in there to mess with the plot twists a little bit. I'm really excited for that. He did a really good job.

How did that end up happening? Does he play your brother?

He does not play my brother on the show. We're actually still in this wedding episode arc, so he's playing a guest of the wedding, and without saying too much, I will just tell you that things do get a little bit awkward with his character. He plays a really funny one. Lauren, the creator of our show, she just loves Robbie to death and thinks he's a talented actor. So she was like, “Let's see if we can write this really fun part for him,” and so they did. And then he ended up still having to go in and audition in front of the network. They also loved him. So he got the chance to be on the show which is really awesome for me because we've always wanted to work together.

So what is it like to work with your brother?

It was pretty great. I mean we practice scripts together when we're at home once in a while. He'll get a script, and he’ll think that maybe I can have some good input. So he'll bring it to me, and we'll work on it. But it's so different when you get on a set. I was very protective. This are people that I've worked with for two seasons so I was like, “Okay, everybody has to be nice to him, and everybody has to laugh at everything he says. And nobody can say bad words around him.” I was super protective, but it was such a fun experience.

What else is happening at the wedding tonight?

Last week's episode ended with Jake finding out some information about Matty and Jenna's past. So tonight you're going to see how Jake is dealing with that kind of bomb that's been dropped on him. There's a lot of stuff going on with emotions and how he feels, and Jenna reacting to saying that she loves him and finding out that he knows this big secret. It's going to be really dramatic.

And I assume Kris Polaha is still on?

Yes. The adorable Kris Polaha is on tonight's episode.

Should we be concerned about Jenna's parents' marriage?

It is slightly rocky, and I want to believe that they'll work it out. You guys will have to wait and see, but Lacey is faced with something very similar to what Jenna’s going through where she's got someone who's her Jake, and someone who's her Matty. So what Lacey decides as her character is going to be a little bit of a realization for Jenna about what she should do and how she should handle things. So I can't give away too much, but there is some juicy stuff with Kris Polaha too tonight.

What are some of the bigger arcs for Tamara this season?

I've got some really fun stuff coming up with the spiraling of my emotions that come with finding out that Ricky and Sadie are in love and dealing with that. There's a bunch of funny little things here and there, and I'm constantly faced with Ricky and Sadie making out in a corner somewhere. It just kills me. So I've got a lot of that kind of dealing with the heartbreak kind of thing.

Anything you can say as far as the rest of the season goes?

The whole focus of this season is that Jenna has to make a decision this season. She has to choose between Jake and Matty. And now that the secret is out, it's going to get really intense, and it's going to be really hard for her. And we have a lot of great stuff coming up where she's just so conflicted and trying to choose who she wants to be with.

Can you tell us anything about the finale?

In the finale, I will say that you will eventually find out who she wants to be with, and there's a lot of fun stuff. We're going back to another party episode which is probably the most that I can tell you. And this time, I'm throwing the party. So it's going to be really fun, a lot of funny things are going to happen.

Tamara has the greatest lines. In creating her, was it a collaboration between you and Lauren?

Well, it's funny. When I originally read the script, I was just like, oh, my gosh. Tamara is the perfect character for me because she does say all these sassy, funny things, and that's what I love to do. And in creating the character, I really have to say it was a big collaboration between me and my acting coach, Cynthia Bain. I came to her with this script, and I was like, “Look. All these girls are going to go in, and they're going to play it this way. And I have to do something different.” So she just created this character with me where I take the dirty things and I make them dirtier, and the sassy things and I make them sassier.

I know that Lauren had some trouble casting Tamara. I came in late in the game. I was actually one of the last characters to be cast. So I think she saw a lot of people for this role, and she wasn't going to settle. She was going to wait for the person who came in and did it right. And for me, on the other end, I've been here living in LA and auditioning, and auditioning, and auditioning, and just finally found that one part that I was just meant for.
